Title: turbo twist 2 help
Post by: clickhea on May 10, 2009, 06:02:08 pm
my spinner has never worked since i got it, and i always figured it was because it wasnt hooked up correctly and decided to put it off till later.

well now its later, and iam trying to figure out whats wrong.

i have the master version with its own interface board.

the spinner is plugged into its board, and the board is plugged into my pc via usb.

i noticed there is a wire hanging off the harness with a 2 pin connecter, is this suppose to be connected to something on the turbo twist board? i cant find my directions.

as of right now, the spinner does nothing, even in windows.

Doesn't the 2 pin connector connect the board to the actual spinner?

I just looked at mine.

There is a connection from the Turbotwist 2 spinner to the mainboard. 1 looks like power and the other is connected to the jumper pins on the board (for master if you only have 1).

Can you take a pic?

You connect that to the pins on the PCB for Master.

Here's another one. FWIW, I had mine incorrectly connected and it didn't blow anything up.

Ask Randy for an e-copy of them or something. Failing that I will dig mine out and scan them for you.

Strange thing is, mine came ready to plug straight into USB with no external pins or whatever and worked perfectly first time, so not sure why you guys' spinners are different.  ???

There's nothing out of the ordinary with your spinner.  You just haven't yet connected the axis data lines to the terminals associated with the axis you want it to control.

This should help. (http://www.groovygamegear.com/PDF/TT2DOCSNEW.pdf)
