These turned out pretty good, IMHO. ;D
I uploaded them to the VECTOR LIBRARY (http://www.mametrixreloaded.com/graphicsdown.php).
So far I made the magenta, red, and blue. I'll do the green and the PSX buttons next week after the holiday. Have a safe 4th of July (to those who celebrate it)!!
Here is a sample:

Those look great! :o

Hey is there a way to homebrew a DDR pad? We have one we got as a present, but it would be super kewl to have another, (with out paying for it of course).
-
update: Uploaded the green diagonal arrows to the library... :)
-
Good job!
-
Ok they are all done - uploaded the shapes and the logo to the vector library (what a great resource that is turning out to be!).
attached are all the pieces that are now in vector format - these should look great on homebrew pads ;D
edit- the only noticeable change I made to them is a slightly different font for the 'Stay Cool!'. I think this looks better, but obviously you can use your own.

Frostillicus, you are the Vector god!

Yup there are a few plans on the web for them. The one I'm using is : http://www.angelfire.com/d20/ddrhomepad/ (http://www.angelfire.com/d20/ddrhomepad/) (beware of popups)
And if you have a keyboard encoder, you don't need to hack a PS controller since you can wire it right up to your IPAC or whatever.
Thanks for the pictures Frosty, I printed em out at work on 11x17 paper and they look great. I will be using em for my pad.

bsoider, to add check out www.stepmania.com and www.ddrmaniax.net.
-
I have plans to build a pad or two in the future, probably metal/lexan mix like that homepad site. It will be cool to play stepmania like it was intended :)
Oh, and are there any other ddr arrows/graphics for the pad I missed?
-
I'm actually thinking of purchasing a good pad. The whole weatherstriping as a spring thing doesn;t settle easy with me.

Which one are you thinking of? Pricey?
-
There was a couple on ebay that can handle up to 300lbs on ebay for $80.
-
be careful with pads on ebay.
As for pads if anyone here starts making metal pads. I'll be the first in line to buy it. I'll buy two of them in fact
-
I just don;t trust homebuilt with weatherstripping being the spring.
-
The diagonal ones are good, and can be color changed for Pump it Up, but a yellow "Pump it Up" center square would be nice.
I personally prefer the Pump it Up layout to the DDR one, and if I ever built a Stepmania pad it would be with that layout.
-
Hehe, I'd just buy that metal pad on ebay with all 8 squares as buttons.
