Title: coin door lights?!
Post by: _JMFR on May 09, 2009, 08:19:13 pm
im doing the final touches to a 60-1 jamma arcade cab i built. im having trouble wiring the coin door lights. how many volts do the lights need to operate? a guy on klov told me +9 and a ground, and the lights were so dim you could barely notice it through the plastic button. i accidently touched the wire to a + 12 volt with the + 9 still connected and it lit up real nice. Should i wire it up with 12 volts? any input?

it depends on the bulb, most jamma stuff is 12volts for the coin door.

yeah, what bulbs are you using?

12v is recommended because your game board depends on the +5v to run, so its best not to put any extra load (especially something that can burn out and affect the voltage).
