I am thinking about selling my driving cabinet so if you are interested please make me an offer. I spent $1500 (including computer/TV and excluding labor) making this arcade cabinet so please only legitimate offers.
The six panels include the following controllers:
- Star Wars Yoke
- Pole Position 360 steering wheel
- Two Virtual-On joysticks
- Spy Hunter 270 steering wheel
- Hang-On motorcycle handlebars
- MadCatz steering wheel (I use for Xbox driving games)
The pedal assemblies include the following controllers:
- Two sets (4 pedals) of Virtua Racing gas/brake pedal assemblies. This is used for games which require a third pedal (ie: clutch) for shifting. These pedal assemblies move left/right depending if the game requires a clutch or not.
- Mad Catz pedal assembly (I use for Xbox driving games)
The shifter panel has the following controllers:
- 4-speed shifter
- 3-speed shifter (w/turbo)
- 2-speed shifter (return to center) w/turbo
- 2-speed shifter (not return to center) w/turbo
- multiple buttons (player start, coin, config, etc..)
The arcade seat is the following:
- Sega Indy 500 fiberglass arcade racing seat which can be adjusted front/back
All the controllers are wired to Microsoft Sidewinder Dual Strike USB Gamepads and connected to a USB hub.
Check out the machine at the following site to see construction and overall cabinet:
http://unclet.arcadecontrols.com/MomsArcade/MomsArcadeMain.html
The cabinet comes apart in three pieces for easier moving. All connections were made with different color wires and I have the wiring diagrams for all these connections as well.
The TV is included (unless you do not want it).
If the price is right I will include the computer (no game Roms) as well.
The panels rotate and can be locked into place so there is no movement when playing games.

Or is this one different?

not even close

They look the same, and they are both called mom's arcade
-
I think he's pulling your leg.

Leg pulled
-
what he is saying can be said about any mame cabinet
"oh look a stupid wood box with a tv..STOOOPID!"
-
Hehe ..... yeah I remember when the crapmame thing came out .... made me laugh :lol Actually reread it and laughed a bit again.
Here are some key justification points regarding my cabinet:
- the TV does rotate since this was for the kids area where they would rotate the TV to watch shows, sit on the sofa and play the Xbox, etc .... Nice feature for a kid's area if you ask me.
- I got a deal on buying two sets of pedals so I decided to uses them for games which required three pedals (ie: games requiring a clutch).
- Having a spinning 6-panel cabinet is nice since you never have to disconnect/reconnect any of the interfaces to play a game. Simply spin, lock it down and start playing the game.
- Multiple shifters seems like overkill until you find driving games which need differrent kinds of shifters (ie: HI/LOW, UP/DOWN return to center, 4-way shifter). Yeah, the 3-way shifter was probably overkill (but since I had it .....)
- Since my original arcade cabinet was called "Dad's Arcade", it made sense (and is funny when the friends come over) to call the other one "Mom's Arcade".
-
Dont defend your cab, I think its neat. I was just being a dick about it not being close because there were date stamps in the pix (on both sites) and it was kinda obvious. :lol
I'd treat it like a car, buy it and part it out.
-
Nice looks like you covered it all. How much you looking for
-
If you part it out, I got dibs on the Star Wars yoke!

Make me an offer. If it is reasonable then I will probably sell it.
-
Did you try to post it on Craig's list? Are you PB county or WPB city?
-
