apparently it was on the way of upping it, see the thread http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=13;action=display;threadid=10267 (http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=13;action=display;threadid=10267)

It did make it, its just that the jpg didn't get posted for some reason. Just look closely at the subheadings for spiderman. There's also a chun-li eps without a jpg preview. Hopefully the site will back to normal soon. ;D

I have some superman vector art it if any one needs it ;D

That is a very nice job. Are you taking the original and dropping it in Illustrator or using streamline or something? I am primarily using Photoshop as I use it for a living but the only vector work I've really done was in 3ds max and I believe I used Flash in the past.
Any info would be great as I can contribute.
Thanks

Using the original flyer and tracing in illustrator. Photoshop is the best, but vector is better for scaling images without loss of resolution. Here is another one.
-
And of course the important title. ;D

Just thougt I would give back to the community. In my weird artistic way. As far as time is concerned, I work at a newspaper, and have a lot of down time between issues, once a month newspaper for senior citizens www.slnewspaper.com They don't mind if I work on my own stuff at work, on the clock! ;D Just wish I had the same machine at home :( 1ghz. g4 758mg ram, 60g hdd, at home 350mhz imac 328mg ram 6g hdd. :(

Superman, looks great. SO you initially manually select all inked areas and then fill with balck and then drop color in the other open areas?
Looks good, Is there any way to cheat when selecting via magic wand ,streamline etc.
Nice job

I don't select anything, I do all the vectorizing in illustrator.
I take flyer or image and open it in illustrator and use it as a template. Pretty much just trace it starting with the black, on a seperate layer and then add color in another layer. Frostillucus wrote a great tutorial on vector drawing and tracing. its in the artwork section on this site. I wouldn't recommend streamline unless you need a quick turnaround and only if the original is clean and probably in b/w.

If any one is needing some artwork vectorized just let me know. Just pm or email me the artwork you want done. Running out of ideas my self ???

Great thanks. Now that I think of it I used streamline for my drawn animation. B&W

it would appear that big daddy gates insists on adding search strings to my hosts file and keeps killing what I have in there.
It is working once again.

When I offered to do this I had no idea there would be this response and this much added to it. You guys amaze me.
Over the next week expect to see some changes in the layout of it, and the categories to try and make browsing it a bit easier.
I'll also create the missing jpg files so they show up. They must have gotten lost during the upload when the server hiccuped. What do you expect from Dell?
