Title: History.dat problems in mala

Has anyone had any issue with history.dat not working in mala 1.6?  I have 1.5 on my regular pc and it seems to work ok with that, but on my controller it won't work at all for some reason.(the 1.6 version) The button is mapped , works, etc.. the info just wont pop up.

I am using 1.6 and its working fine here, check your path to history.dat under options, cant think why else it wouldnt work

yeah, i have no idea... the path is fine. Its seriously confounding since i have it set up the same on the 2 machines ,but it wont work on the one that i really want it for. I have the version compiled that i got from a thread here that wont display mame nag screens.. it doesnt count history.dat as a nag screen does it? (i know im reaching here... but i can't figure this out since by all account it should work. :dizzy: :dizzy:

I use the no nag screen version too, so unfortunately thats not your problem :dunno
