Hi'yall!! I been away from the arcade thingy for a while. Now i'm going to part my arcade because I'm outta space, new kid on the way, and I've decided to build a multi console control panel.
This is the deal, the main idea is to build interfaces so I can use with my PC and my consoles. I've figured out that I can map everything on a db37 connector and create the proper interface (little boxes) for each console. These boxes will include hacked controls inside and mapped to the db37 conector, so when I want to use my pc I'll just use the pc box, when I'm going for psx, then i'll just swith the little box.
Now the first console I'll build the box will be for the Playstation family. Here's the deal, I wan't advice on the analog joystick, I mean, have you guys ever made analog sticks hacks (I think a 49 way is the thing for this); or do you suggest to simply ignore that and hack only the arrow pads.
Ohh... I would like to see implementations for my idea, if you guys have tried this.
Thanks a lot :D

I've done them for other people.
Using a combination of DB-9 and DB-25 connectors and data switches.

If you can figure it out and analog hack would be a great thing. Though Quasacade did this. A very different looking control panel..but it was for the Xbox Playstation Gamecube...etc.
Of coure the Xarcade is the other route.
