Hey all,
Just wanted to share some goodness with you all and give a little back. I was messing around with a few new techniques and came up with this 3d tribute to an awesome game.

thanks for the fast reply, I noticed that the .ai file is flat? I didn't open it up in illustrator only photoshop amd reader do you have the 3-d one in vector form?? what did u hand trace it or live trace it ?? or vector magic it??
-
IT actually took three programs to do this. I traced the original (loosely) in Illustrator and stole the colors. Then brought them into my fav 3D program to bevel the curves into poly geometry. Threw in some lights, shaders, camera and rendered it. Then took it to photoshop for fine touches and background.
You can however use Illustrators 3D extrude and bevel effect to give it a third dimension. It is a bit touchy but very easy to jump into.

Dude you own it. Nice! I remember in high school I would run to my local video rental store to play Bubble Bobble only to find Dean was already there playing it. I could never beat him there...
