Question is in the topic how hard would it be to convert this game to another racing game.

Does Night Driver work? Why would you want to convert a black n white from the dawn of video games (1976!) to something from 10 years later? I just don't it.....

If it's gutted, then I could see sticking in MAME and being able to play classic driving games, but NOT Hard Driving. The key to Hard Driving was the realistic steering controls with force feedback, etc.

As the others said don't bother. All the controls are wrong: wrong steering wheel type, wrong pedal type, wrong shifter!

I'm guessing for $50 it is not in too great shape, but it would be a shame to see a machine this old converted if it could be restored...

Plus Night Driver is way better than Hard Driving.

Its actually is in pretty good condition considering it was made in 1976. The are only a  few minor problems it needs bondo in a few parts on the  bottom of the cab and  has a non working marquee light besides this it plays great.  I would trade it straight up for another game as I already have a cabinet set aside for mame. Missed an oppurtunity to get operation wolf for 70 dollars yesterday I should have acted quickly. I am putting a game room together and even though I have a mame cabinet I would like a few dedicated cabs. Ive decided to instead to try and trade it for a different game instead of conversion.
