I've never wired up a coin door, but i bought a ms. pacman machine and have restored the door. The problem is, the wiring is completely bonkers. There are so many wires just dangling connected to nothing, i'm hoping to get some guidance here or if someone has a link to something I can reference i would appreciate it.
I've attached a diagram of what i have. basically i have 4 problems.
1. wire 3 connects to nothing. that has to be wrong.
2. there is a wire on the service switch that is attached to nothing..that seems wrong
3. there is only 1 wire attached to the credit button but it goes nowhere too. there IS another wire coming off the coin 2 (purple wire), but it goes nowhere.(sorry, its not in the diagram)
4. i'm not sure why there are two molex's inline. i think 1 attaches to the credit counter, but i'm not sure which one...the other might actually connect to another molex in the cab, i need to double check that..
This diagram isn't even showing half the mess..some wires come off other poles going nowhere as well.
I really just want the wiring to be clean, but not sure where to attach what.
last but not least, the coin switches work, but the counter does not, the service switch does (but what is the deal with the extra wire hanging off...?), the credit button does not.. (by works i mean actually functions when the game is on)

If you have a Ms. Pac that has not been modified then try the link below. It has the schematics in it.

after a couple hours of tracing wires, i think i have this figured out.
i've attached a more final version of what it should be like.
I think some of the stray wires are from a slam switch that no longer exists and one of the molexes is for credit multiplier board that doesn't exist.
