Title: FS [Houston, TX] NEC/Mitsu 29" Tri/Multiscan 15Khz Monitors $150/ea. (2 avail)
Post by: Keroppi on May 01, 2009, 05:18:18 pm
These are the creme de la creme....
Model # is XM-2950
They support everything from CGA to XGA, (15-50Khz,40-100Hz .75dp) to give authentic arcade picture as well as higher res for your front end.
Digital adjustments and resolution memory
Inputs include HD15 (VGA), BNC RGBHV, S-Video, Composite, most with in and out.
Audio in with built in speaker as well as Audio amp with speaker terminals.
Has dipswitches to control auto power-on, input, etc.
Supports IR (and I believe RS232) control...I might have the remotes, didn't get a chance to check when I bought them.
Case has handles and is very square. In the right cab setup it could be used without decasing.
Tested to provide a good burn-free picture.

I have shipping road cases for these, included free if you got the cajones to pony up to have them shipped. Personally, I think they're nice, but not THAT nice.

Hit me up if you have any questions. I can take pics if necessary, but google will show you what it looks like.

For those who enquired, I took some pics, they are huge. Too big to embed, so I uploaded them to my server:

...and I checked, I do not have the remote, and they DO support commands over RS232.
The remote codes can be programmed to a universal, codes are here:
http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/codes/nec/xm2950/
and I might have a pdf of the manual somewhere, which tells how to control via RS232.

Thanks!

Definitely. I didn't expect the rest of the country to be interested, just a little h-town love....   :dunno

Yeah the cheapest I figured out for shipping to me, just for kicks, was 130. UPS Ground just charges by the weight, and usually won't make you frieght stuff like this.

Hmm...I though UPS had a 100 lb. limit for ground?

What part of town are you in?

Do you have measurements/ dimensions? My arcade monitor has limitations. It will only do 640x480 interlaced.

But I may have to build a whole new cab to accomodate the monitor.

It will in those cases. But perhaps not in a box.

You really only needed maybe four pictures. One of the front, working in the dark or semi-dark; another running native would be great; one of the back; maybe a three-quarter shot to show the case. And resized them to be able to post here. Man those are ---smurfin--- monster images.

Yeah, I was too lazy to resize them. I figured anyone sincerely interested will click the links. I'd rather be accused of too many ---smurfin---' monster images than the couple of low res pieces of ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- most people post.

I'll prolly take another pic or 2 in the dark but the top of that case is a bear to get off by myself. Anyone sincerely interested, let me know, and I'll get on it.

Ummon: One question though; what are you  calling 'native'? CGA? It's a CRT, everything it can display is 'native' lol.
Bearing that in mind, there is a limit where the scanning frequency surpasses discernable resolution though, and for these screens, 1024x768 is soft, which is why I displayed it running 800x600, because it can display every pixel clearly.

And I am pretty sure freight would be required. It'd be a cold day in hell before I shipped these in a cardboard box.

Yeah, I meant running a CGA res game. Maybe a couple/few - horizontal and vertical and.....

I may try to find a spare harness to hack up to do so. I will have to use a PCB, because the only computer I can hook up to it is a POS laptop that has a built in videocard that doesn't play well with soft 15k. It's a lot of work, and frankly, I dunno that it's worth it, since all I have had so far is tire-kickers...  :badmood:

Why haven't these sold? :dizzy:

This is it people.  A high quality digital multi sync arcade monitor plus a dozen other cool stuff.  Even with 150 dollars shipping I would consider this a steal.  It's even guaranteed to be in good shape and and burn in free by one of our BYOAC brother.

If you are designing a MAME cab to build from scratch this is THE MONITOR for you.

If I wasnt broke I would buy this instantly.

Empty candy cab or other random cabs

Encoders/LEDWiz/Etc.
TurboTwist
Ms Pac Bezel, CPO
Star Wars Sound PCB
20-22" Flat screen CRT TVs
new midway kickplates
Outrun Horn
Monitor chassis: G07, 20EZ, 25-27" standard res
act labs guns
Pinball: ALI MPU, rubbers, std pf glass, legs, empty cabinet, gottlieb/premier lockdown bar.
Geforce 9800gtx or higher Nvidia card
Fanatec Speedster 3 XBOX wheel

..and plenty more, but I could go on like this all night...

To anyone who cares, the enclosed dimensions are:
25 3/8"W x 21" H x 19.5"D

..decasing it might trim an inch or so, but not much, the bezel is pretty thin to start with.

since I was out there measuring it, I also measured my Golden Tee (Dynamo) cab, and realized these will fit. Realizing that means there is now only one left for sale  :afro:

Incredible. I can't believe these haven't sold in 15 days.

I'd have picked one off ya & shipped it if I hadn't already modified my showcase cabinet for 32" LCD.

Why LCD?

For SFIV, and because I couldn't find one of THESE MONITORS ANYWHERE locally with daily checks for 3 months. I was looking for the 33" version as well.

Damn, I hope they go to someone who appreciates them. :afro:

Good luck!

Well, I am honestly not looking on making a field trip to get rid of the monitor. If you would like to come get it, I will be available Sunday.
