Title: Missing some sounds on Donkey Kong
Post by: blub50 on May 01, 2009, 12:03:30 am
I have reinstalled my mame32, and thanks to you guys it seems to be doing ok...the only thing is that I have lost some sounds on Donkey Kong....Just the sounds of Mario running and the Gorilla stomping...all the other sounds seem to be working...I don't know if sounds are missing on other games or not...any suggestions...thanks :dunno

Samples??   Does it even require it anymore?  Depends on what version you have I think.

Depending on what version you have , and from what you are saying you have an older version....go to mameworld.com...and find the link for Twisty's samples...you'll find dkong.zip and you should be good to go...

The "stack of books" is a .zip file ....... just copy/cut and paste it into the samples folder in your MAME directory.

EDIT:
What version of MAME are you running?
Just realized with all the changes to MAME yours may be different than what I'm looking at.

The 'stack of books' thing means you probably have winrar or something similar installed, and the OS is highlighting them under that app.
