Title: Ultimate 4-way
Post by: CGRemakes on July 02, 2003, 03:07:35 pm
I recently purchased a Happs Ultimate 4-way and have just installed it.  Overall I'm very happy with the feel, and the price was certainly right.  The main problem I'm having is that the actuator sticks up too high, so it keeps catching on the top of the microswitch button and presses downward rather than inward.  The joystick did have a washer in the package that doesn't really appear to have a purpose, but do I need to use that somehow to make it work better?

Could you post some pics of your present install?

I've done this with a couple of ultimates myself.
To help this problem, you can place the washer between the actuator & the C clip.
This will push the actuator up to put it in line with the switches & not just below.

This is what I did originally and it appeared to help.  I didn't originally put the c clip on all the way figuring that's probably not what they had in mind for the washer, and it kept popping off in the middle of my games.  I have placed the c clip on all the way now and it appears to help the problem.  Thanks for the help!  :)
