Many thanks to HarumaN who sold me the hacked Madcatz controller and offers an excellent service and great communications, you can see his services here http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=76185.0
I'd like to credit the artist at DeviantArt for the chun Li pic which I photoshopped from its original blue to be red to match the red/white of the controller, but i now cant find their name, I will post it when i find it unless anyone knows better, so apologies for that..
Originally it was to have a red racing stripe routed into the sides of the box but i ran out of time and wasnt confident both of my routing skills and that basically it would look right..
Hope you like it, ;D comments are more than welcome.. :blah:

Looks very cool - nice work. What kind of buttons do you have up there by the guide button?

Oh they're the "back" and "start" buttons, same as the top of the normal xbox controller...

Thanks, glad you like it..

Cool controller.
The chun li art was done by Stanley "Artgerm" Lau.
-
thanks for that, I searched bloody DeviantArt for hours looking for the name, typical i couldnt find it, when i was looking for the artwork originally for the stick It was everywhere on the web..
Glad you like it.. I'm considering my second stick now, will be smaller and thinner i think, and I wont use those Haap Pro Buttons again, they are about 4 foot long, i'll go for something with less plunger depth next time for sure!!
-
Sanwa buttons would be great.
-
Thanks HarumaN, I'll check out what they do with screw in ones, i dont really like the clip ones.. I'll have to investigate, now i know what affects the box size I can judge much better what to buy next time..
I think i did well with the Sanwa Stick I got though, but i may need to do the "mod" to tighten it up a bit..
-

if you can get them anywhere right now that is. I think LizardLick opened back up for orders....but Im not 100% sure on that. They'll be backlogged again as soon as they open again. So get your order in quick.
-
Yea agreed, here in the uk I use Gremlinarcade, they've only just caught up on orders from march/april now, so should be ready with more stocks soon.. but I know those will be gone as soon as they arrive..
It seems like most places arent taking orders for a week or so..
-
Forum member Ponyboy sells Sanwa buttons.
-
he does? I thought he quit taking orders. I'll have to check that out.
-
He has a post on the Shoryuken forums detailing what he carries. I shot him an email this weekend and he said he was out of stock till the end of this week, but I don't expect Lizardlick to be taking orders before then.

Looks really good. I wish I went with the ball top joystick like you did. I just finished my arcade stick this past weekend as well.

I also Photoshopped some artwork from Deviantart :)

Wow. I really like that art. Sakura FTW!
-
I really like PSi88's Azumi avatar, I didnt think anyone else knew about that movie, heh
-
Thanks Malenko, yea Azumi 1 and 2 are some of my favourite films..
Thats nice work too sayitaintjonas, I like it, very good but like you I agree, a ball top seems to look nicer with the artwork to me too, I contemplated all kinds of stick/buttons combos but went for the JLF for the stick and the Haap Arcade Pro's for the buttons, mainly as i couldnt get xbox colours from Sanwa.. Next time I'll just go for all white and smaller sanwa buttons though..
Like you i'm planning on a sakura theme next time too!! I've got your artwork amongst my choices I think so i'll have to take that off the "consider" list now.... ;)
