Title: Is it possible
Post by: Tyyl on April 24, 2009, 01:33:53 am
So I, like so many before me, have decided to go from dreamer to builder in the Mame Cabinet world.
So far I have been looking around at what has been done and forming ideas about what I want to do.

I have an idea of what I would like to do, but am wondering about whether it is possible to have a graphic added to a trackball surface.  I realize I could overlay the image through various methods, but any that I can think of would fade with use and I don't want that.  Are there any vendors or people that can create a custom trackball?

Thanks
Tyyl

You could probably buy a trackball and get a film printed over the top of it (much like a coin door button) as if it were lit it would illuminate the image, but as to whether you can get an image printed on it or whether it would last long is another factor you should consider.

I would speak to Randy T (http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=contact_us&zenid=c3adf51f7e6b5c00bfbd2ecd1e98edb5) and ask if he can sort something out for you.

It would be a very cool thing if it were possible!

And welcome to the forum!
