Title: SF2CE Marquee
Post by: johnnybleu on April 23, 2009, 02:57:38 pm
Hi all!

Would anyone here happen to have a digital copy of a Street Fighter II Champion Edition marquee ready for print (or at least point me to one)? It's pretty much the only thing I have left to do on my cab.

I know there's a few places online where you can buy one, or have one made, but if I could bring a copy to a local print shop it would be both cheaper and faster.

Any help is appreciated.

Many thanks!

Uhhh, yes, I'm well aware of those two sites, and others like them- as I already said.

The purpose of my question was to avoid having to order one online, to save both time and money.

Again, I'm looking for a digital copy that I could print myself (or have printed, rather).

Yes! Excellent!
That's EXACTLY what I'm looking for!

However... How do I save the image? I don't see a link anywhere, and all I can save is the preview thumbnail. O_o

you have to donate like 10 bucks to access all his images then you can save as many as you like. They are all high res and easy to have printed

Ah, I see....

Well, I suppose 10 bucks isn't gonna break the bank, even though it goes against the whole "cheaper to do it myself" idea. If I were to get more than one image it wouldn't be so bad, but since I only need one...

At any rate, this is still my best option.

Thanks for the help!

Damned kids always looking for a free lunch ...  ;)

Somebody had to pay to get that collection of artwork and the JM had to spend loads of time setting up the site, converting the graphics and hosting.

FWIW, I looked into getting marquees and artwork printed locally and, for a proper job (e.g. take an example of what you want to the print shop), couldn't match MAMEMarquees for price.

Hey, we're the generation of instant gratification! We want it now, and preferably for free. ;)

But seriously, I can understand the donation thing- nothing in life is really free, no matter what they tell you. It's really a small price to pay to have access to such an awesome collection of artwork.

As far as getting it printed, I live in a small town, so prices in general tend to be cheaper across the board. Of course, I'd still have to go check out what they got and at what price. If they want around $20, I'd seriously have to consider MAMEMarquees.com... I suppose it all depends on how much it would be to have it shipped to Canada, and waiting for it to get here (see instant gratification). Oh, and customs could also decide to add on to that price.

I'm in the Maritimes- New-Brunswick to be exact.
It's not that I wont be able to find a place to do it (apparently there's like 3 or 4 sign/printing places around here). Again, having it shipped is extra cost.

Really, the only reason I was gonna do it myself was to save money, and in order for me to save money things would have to be really cheap (i.e. get the image for free, for example). If I'm gonna be spending 25-30 bucks to get it done, I might as well go with MAMEMArquee.com and get it done right.
