Title: Model 2 Emulator & ArcadeVGA
Post by: zorrobandito on April 23, 2009, 08:25:32 am
Surfing around the net I picked up that the latest version of the Model 2 Emulator uses pixel shaders 2.0 to deliver the rendering. This puts it out of reach for most ArcadeVGA owners.

Has anyone tried the previous versions with ArcadeVGA with any success? When did pixel shaders 2 come in?

Does anyone have a copy of v0.8, the Nebula guys don't seem to keep archived versions...

No joy with the original ArcadeVGA and I don't think the Radeon 9X00 series model can do it either  :(

I *think* the new PCIe one could handle it...

Try 3danalyzer to see if you can emulate the pixel shaders, assuming you have a decent cpu.

sapphire X1950 pro 512MB works fine.

its up to pixel shader 3.0 directX 9.0C

but I think the new dirextX10 may even be pixel shader 4.0
