Hi,
Trying to run virtua cop 2, crashes and refuses to start. I get a typical BS error message from Windows XP. Runs fine on other computer. I am using Arcade Vga, could this cause a problem? Any suggestions? I am about to give up on it. Thanks.

Getting a blue screen when running a game? I'd check drivers first then start looking at hardware.

can't even start a game, gives me an error before it even starts. I could post a picture of the error screen tonight. What drivers should I be looking at? Everything else works fine including PC games like HOTD, Mad Dog, etc.

did you look in the event log to see if there is an entry created when it crashes? if so, the information in that error message may be helpful.

good idea, will report tonight

OK, I don't think there is a log file, error msg is attached. Any ideas?

Wikipedia reports that Virtua Cop 1+2 have problems running correctly (particularly with a lightgun) under Windows XP. Try getting your hands on the Japanese versions called Virtua Squad 1+2, which is what I had to do and they run fine.

thank you, I googled this to death but somehow this did not come up. will proceed accordingly.

I wondered why I keep seeing "Virtua Squad" all over the net.
