Hi all,
I've just picked up some Happ competitions, a ms. pac man/galaga reunion, and a happ top fire joystick.
I think these joysticks can be changed so that the shafts will suit 3/4" wood CPs, does anybody know which way they have to be disassembled-reassembled??
Thanks

That Ms. Pac stick cannot be altered to go through a 3/4 wood panel. Even if it could, it would ruin the feel of it, as it would make the throw way too long.
Just make a mounting plate out of a piece of sheet metal.
As for the other happ sticks? I dunno, the only Happ stick I will use is the Ms. Pac one. The other ones are mostly junk.

Mounting the Competion is only a matter of using the distanceplug (white plastic) and moving an E-ring (or washer, whatever is the correct english name) ???

The spacer 95-0194-00 is placed on the joystick shaft right under the plastic portion of the handle to give added height. With the spacer on the shaft the e-ring 43-0019-00 is placed in the bottom grove of the joystick to complete the assy.

I like this fix best. It's what I did in my panel.
Cut the hole for the joystick base to fit snugly in (with the rim still sitting on the wood) then plop one in there and trace the edge of it. Hold the joystick up to a router with a square-tipped cylinder shape bit, adjust the bit so it's the depth of the rim of the joystick (part with screw holes in it) and 10 minutes later you're done!
