A few months back on the forum I posted a thread about going to an auction for the first time.. well, this was my third auction this year already! I didn't really take down the titles this time or the prices but I did manage to snap a bunch of pics.

Thanks for the pics. I heard that Thunderblade went for $30. Would have loved that to go next to my Outrun mini.
-
yeah a few cabinets went for dirt cheap, I think another great deal which i was bidding on but ended up backing out was the Black Tiger that sold for $95.00 with a very crisp monitor and relatively clean cab.

Wow - nice pics! I really want to go to one of these things but I never hear about them until it is too late. Woodbridge is right around the corner too...

Looks like they had some top quality pins. Do you know how they did? Did they go for $2K+?

2k+ in todays market?> I think they went for 800-1200 range however I didn't really pay too much attention to prices.
-
Yeah, that Junk Yard is a rare pin and in good shape should go for over $2K.
If those pins were selling for $1200 I am at a loss for words. A data East is the low hanging fruit and I was seeing a Jurassic Park (one of the best Data East pins) going for $1,000 at auction.
Funhouse and World Poker Tour..... that went for over $2K at an auction I went to recently. Funhouse was designed by one of the top guys in the Pinball industry... Pat Lawler..... That is easily a $2K pin... maybe a little less.

*Edit* US Amusments hasn't updated their site in a LONG time. I would have love to try and bid on some of those pins.

That's because I don't think they are around anymore it's just people that used to work for them decided to branch off and have their own venues. They just claim it to be a "US Amusement" Auction but I think only super auctions are still around.

I guess some RGP'ers were there. According to them most of the Pins were projects. In various states of disrepair. I guess the going rates were a bit high on some. If they were in good shape, I think my values are pretty correct.

all I know is that vids went for pretty decent prices, not the best selection in the world, however if you wanted a bargin on what they had available you were set.
-
Good price on that Black Tiger. Sounds like better condition, and I think went for a little less, than the one at the auction I went to last year.

sorry to open this up again..do they still do auctions in woodbridge?
