How the hell does MAME count as a restoration? (Unless it's for that particular cab and you can't find the boards)

And my Ms. Pacman is not eligible..hey, i may be new to the restoration scene, but Ms. PacMan is still cool..I don't care if there are 100 other ms. pac restorations going on. ;)

DK doesn't count!  Why?  I guess I'm out.

I'm not as excited... this contest is more about pushing CoinOpSpace's Google rankings than anything else:

"This is not about putting links in a thread to other websites, you need to generate original content exclusively at Coinopspace.com."

Currently BYOAC gets #3 spot in Googling for "Arcade Restoration", while COS is on page 3.

That's one reason to exclude the popular games. Those keywords are already saturated with too many sites when Googling.

One example of unpopular game search ranking: Google for "Juno First restoration" and the top 3 spots are my own BYOAC threads and my own web page. ;-)

RayB you missed this part at the bottom as well.

Extra credit. If you want to earn extra points, send us links to all of the threads you have started on different arcade forums where you have linked to your Coinopspace.com restoration. Each link is worth 1 point.

And you would hold this against the site why?

I'm just a little bummed that they came up with this contest AFTER I busted out my Williams Multigame... and after I restored a Star Wars cockpit... and after I restored my Paperboy...

... oh well.  Hell,  the announcement came after I started working on Secret Service pinball...and I am not even sure if they'd accept a pinball restoration submission anyway.

I look forward to see what stuff gets submitted though.

All I have left to restore is...well... nothing much actually.  I only have little projects on the table (and the SS pin of course).

Evidently pins aren't accepted for this compo...

Shame there isn't a restoration wiki out there that true restorers could log the specific cabinet resto needs on as they encounter them. I'm not a restorer myself but about 50% of visitors here probably are and it would go more towards the 'preservation of video game history' than even MAME does.

Yes I know there is a resto forum on here but I'm talking about a simple 'go to' click wiki then a set of q+a threads that fall by the way over time.
