Hello all,
I have some major resto to do on an original DK Jr. Nintendo cab. This is a USA orange model with 5/8" particle board sides. The slot is noticably offset and I'm starting to realize that finding white 5/8 offset-slot molding is not going to happen. What is everyone doing with this little problem?
Is trimming 3/4" molding the way to go? And how does one do this, with a razor blade? I do not want any ugly overhang due to the slot. Also, what size slot cutter is used, as I am renovating the bottom quarter of this cabinet with new particle board and will have to match the existing slots.
Thanks!

Works for laminate edges and t molding.

fill with bondo and cut a new t-mold slot.

By some strange happenstance, one side of my DK cab is offset and the other isn't...but honestly...to me, anyway...the offset is hardly noticeable.
man, i've missed you guys.

Fill slot with bondo and cut new slot, then use 5/8" T-Molding.
It will look much cleaner than using 3/4" and cutting with a razor blade IMO.
