So has anyone attempted to cover up the ugly x on the tank stick? I was going to order this http://www.mamemarquees.com/atomic-cpo-v2-p-164.html does anyone have the exact dimensions or a layout I can use to cut the holes? If anyone's put this over there tank stick do you have any suggestions?

I'd like to find out too. I've covered all of the wording on mine with a permanent black marker, leaving only the "X" graphic. It looks a lot better, matches perfectly, and only I can tell. I do have to renew it once in a while because it wears off.

A common solution is to use a sheet of plexiglass to avoid wear on your graphic. It requires some work as you have to cut the holes on the exact spots on it.

I think that's what we'd like to do if we could find some sort of template for cutting the holes and the perimeter shape. Then, we could put on our own overlay and plexiglass. This would cover up the X-Arcade graphics there now. I should email them and ask, although they may not be too eager to cover up their advertising.

Seems to me that if someone would take the time and either have an old tankstick frame or actually take their existing one apart and place it on a big enough paper...you can outline the pushbuttons and joystick carriage bolts...
The push buttons i know would be 1-1/8 ( i think)...
Oh, and black and blue cab is ONE BAD MO-FO.... :bat

Time and time again I have said that Scott @ Mame Marquees would probably get a lot of business from selling precut X-arcade CPOs. I would email him to suggest it to him but I doubt he would reply as I don't seem to get any replies of him, even when I'm trying to buy products from him. Anyone know of another CPO/graphic printer, preferably one who answers emails (i know i'm not tho only one).

If you want a overlay to cover up your x-arcade just get one that does not have button holes or joysticks marked. Make sure it is large enough to cover your panel. Now disassemble your panel since you have to take out all your buttons and joys to mount a new cpo. Laydown the cpo and position it where you want it. Now use the holes in the cp to mark where to cut your cp overlay. Now if you did not get a lexan protected cpo you use your cp top to cut the plexi or lexan. Just put a small drill hole in the plexi or lexan and at each button hole and use a flush trim bit to cut the hole. Make sure your lexan is well clamped (with protection) to your control panel. Lexan scratches easier then plexi but plexi cracks easier so take your pick. Lexan is the more expensive product.
Now you might not want to disassemble your x- arcade but you are going to have to do it to mount your control panel overlay no matter where you get it from even if it is precut.

ya thats what i was going to do but I do agree about scott he never replied about by x arcade questions and he charges way to much for his stuff anyway..He would make lots of money off of pre cut CPOS for the x arcade though...

I did a Tron Theme for my X-Arcade Two Player.
Sorry, it's not the Tank Stick.

OK, Here's the Illustrator file for My X-Arcade Tron Controller. The Template Layer is the Joystick and Button layout. The Outlide Layer is note quite exact. Allow around 1/2 inch of blead around the edges.
If you have illustrator, you can take this template to design your own art. Or you could tweak it into a tank stick template.
Anyway, its at least something to get you started.
If I find some spare time I'll try to put one together myself.
