Title: Existing Cab's power supply
Post by: JonProphet on April 15, 2009, 03:54:36 pm
I have an MK2 cabinet that looks like it has the original power supply bolted into the bottom. This cab has the WG-25K7xxx monitor that requires the reverse transfomer-omgea-optimus-prime-thingamajig and I really don't want to mess with it. I figure I am going to leave it in and pull the power cord to mount a powerstrip inside the cab. From there, I will hook up the computer power-supply connect it to the power strip for powering of the PC. Not a big deal, I can make it look nice.

Any way of doing this better? The monitor is perfect, no need to mess with it at all at this point.

Also, I like the idea of the person who put a car audio amp and speakers in his cab. I originaly was going to use PC speakers and power them from the strip. How should these be wired? Should I use the Powersupply from the PC or from the powersupply from the cab?

Thanks,
