Title: Testing Equipment

Hey all,

My equipment has been in storage for a few years without being used.  Just the electronics.  I kept everything by the speakers, power switch and joystick/buttons.

Now, if I cross the power wires to turn the stuff on, is that safe to do?   I want to plug in a board and a monitor using the VGA convertor board and see if I still not only see if the boards work, but the equipment itself.
