The primary difference is what you saw was standalone software, where all this is done server-side.  Couple that with the social networking, and suddenly you've got something that is taking off.  People see these videos and are like, "Sweet, I can make these and I don't even have to have any special software on my PC, or deal with system requirements or anything.

Whatever you saw 10 years ago, almost nobody else saw.  Not so with this.  It markets itself.

You're telling me that in 1999 someone had something online that could do this?  LMAO.  Most of us were still on dial-up in 1999.  And, as you said, there wasn't even Flash back then.  Realplayer (or something) isn't an animation platform.  It's just video compression and streaming.  I think that you are either misremembering this tech, or at least confusing your timeline.  This sounds pretty unlikely to me.

That's too bad. 

On another note, I added the caption/synopsis to my original post.  You see it already if you view the video on the xtranormal site or on Youtube, but miss out if you see it embeded.  I think it complements my video well.

The thing is, I made that one just to make Chad laugh. BNUTS thought it was funny, too. However, I thought others might enjoy it, so I put it up.
