Title: best interface board??
Post by: cluck024 on April 12, 2009, 08:57:29 pm
Ok, I know this has probably been answered a million times and I have done a search. Just cant make heads or tails of the info I found.  :banghead:

Im planning on having 2 8 way joysticks, 1 4 way joystick, 1 spinner, 1 trackball, and 22 pushbuttons. What is the best interface board for me??

Thanks,

I use Ultimarc's ipac for all buttons and an Apache push-pull spinner with primary interface board which lets you run not only the spinner but a 2 axis trackball off it as well. I also have Ultimarc's Optipac, but don't use it since getting the Apache. Many spinners come plug-and-play and some trackballs too so you may not need an optical interface board.

I'd say the Ipac (or it's variants).

Like EricTrumpet said, you can get trackballs and spinners that are already USB so there's no need for any optical controller board there.

Heck, go with u360's and you won't even need to hook your sticks up to the ipac!
