Title: Can Daphne save high scores?
Post by: isucamper on April 08, 2009, 07:58:33 pm
Testing with Astron Belt and version 1.0 , it certainly seems like Daphne does NOT maintain high scores when you quite the game and then start it back up again.  However, there's a command line option that seems to suggest that Daphne does preserve high scores.

From the Daphne wiki:

-sram_continuous_update  Saves the static RAM after every search so that if Daphne is terminated improperly, high scores are preserved.

Does anyone have Daphne maintaining scoreboards from run to run?

Ask over at the Daphne forum, and I bet you'll get a quicker answer.

I did and they did answer.  Supposedly, a few of the games do save scores, and they all have the capability to do so, but as of right now each of the drivers need to be changed to support it.

Ahh. I don't play them often enough to care, and I think by default many of them don't show score overlays.
