Anyone know where to find this? Im restoring an old zaxxon cab. Ive got it pretty much finished and thought some side art would make a nice finishing touch.

I geuss it doesnt exist. Ive been researching, and other people have had the same problem

Let me check with my buddy, he has an old zaxxon cab, so maybe there is hope. I will let you know by the end of the day.

My buddies cab has the side art on it still, I can take a high res pic for you that could be used to reprint the graphic. Let me know if that helps at all, and if you want it Ill get that over to you asap.

that'll probably do just fine. one problem...im still pretty much a virgin when it comes to diy arcade building, so im not to sure what vector means. its pretty much a high reso file that printing shops print for you right? im doing pretty good seeing as ive only pursued this new obsession for just under a year. i finished an umk3, and this zaxxon cab is gonna be dun this weekend!!! its getting a 60-1 cuz the original pcb was gone when i got the cab.
btw...do you guys know a good basic monitor reference book that i can get? ive searched my schools library, and all they got is stuff from the 60s and 70s. reason im asking is because i bought a brand new universal mount monitor for my cab, and the frame was to big to fit. I called my monitor guy to get an estimate on how much it would cost to mount the picture tube and all the hardware into my old monitor chassis. when he told me 100 dollars i said :censored: it. desperate, i braved it out, and did all the work myself. after 30 mins of work, the monitor was hooked up to my mk cab and working perfectly. anyways, ive got a little confidence in my skills, so a reference book would be handy to try to diagnose other problems i may encounter. AND if any of you guys want or need a BRAND new universal 19 inch monitor chassis let me know. Ill give it to you free if u pay for shipping charges. :blah:

No Problem man,
And for reference vector art is what is used for any type of design/printing when it comes to graphics/logos/text. It is based on geometric shapes to draw the images, where as the other type "Raster" is used when designing/editing and printing photos, it uses pixels. When printing large things vectors will be more crisp when blown up.
Adobe Illustrator uses Vector Art, and Adobe Photoshop uses raster, but they can be combined as well.....

so, if i had a vector image, how can i get it printed?

You could open it in Adobe Illustrator and make sure its the correct size and resolution, then print directly from there, or save it and take it to Kinko's. Most Kinko's can print Adobe Illustrator files, and they even have the program there to use if you do not have it.

Mikonos, will you be adding the black background with the field of stars, the Zaxxon logo, and the other planes that comprise the full sideart decal? If you are, I'd like to use this when it's finished for the 3d model of Zaxxon that I'm making for the 3dArcade MAME frontend. Will you be making the vector file available or will this only be a jpeg?
