Title: who here grows a gardain?

I am wondering who else grows a garden?
I have always tinkered in a garden.
some times just a few plants.
some times I try square foot gardening ( I do like SQ. FT. Gardening)
I tried vertical gardens.
Hanging gardens.
this time I am trying something new, Container gardens. All 100% compost and all grown from seeds.
I found a store close to my work. $18.00 a bobcat scoop for compost.
I have 3 scoops so far.
Work gave me MANY large plastic totes.
I drilled drainage holes in all. Laid down clear plastic down on the grass.
put totes on plastic. Filled totes with compost.

Starting seeds indoors right now.

I do some light gardening, but haven't done any as of late. I started rebuilding my garden following an above-ground model and using cinder blocks/decorative blocks to build it. Ran out of time, season and money last year. Don't know if I can get it put together in time this year.

Previously, I constructed huge planters (4x4 or 4x8) boxes using clean discarded pallets. Using three pallets would yield one planter. Unfortunately, the planters don't last more than four or five years at most, but not an issue when you have plenty of pallets to use.
