So Ive been trying to decide on a cpo for a while. This is what Ive come up with, modeled after Knievel's (spelling??) cpo's. Please leave comments and suggest which you like the most!! Thanks--

id say good, but to out of this world and not enough arcade

I like the sunrise, but I tend to lean to the subtle and subdued.

I like the top one the best for a CPO.
Not too cluttered but eye-catching enough to really stand out.
Very nice work!

Heh, the bottom one looks like a Journey album cover.

I also like the top one, but it's too squished. I've seen that middle one far too much on arcades.
I ran across the NASA pic of the day (http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/) a little while back. Clicking through them, you can find some pretty spectacular space images suitable for backgrounds (not by themselves, behind planets to fill space).

I think they're bad, especially the last one. You could say kinda Journey-ish, yeah. But not. By the way, perhaps you want this put in 'Main'?

I like #2
In #1, the trackball sort of interrupts the nice sunrise image.
#3 looks as if it's out of focus or has some accidental repeating image.

No way, dude. That slight diffused-ness of the image is bad. Could be a vision thing. I used to think stock mame display looked similar - until recently, in which I've noticed my vision has gotten better than it's been in a few years.

Perhaps I didn't use the best words to describe my impression. In fact, I'm sure I didn't.
Rationally & logically, I know that there are no errors w/ the graphic. When I look at it, my emotional response is "Something looks funny. Out of focus? Bottom half looks as if it's somehow repeating in error...somewhat like when I drag a window around on my Windows desktop & it leaves a trail of windows behind it b/c my machine's too bogged down at the moment to refresh the background."
Clear as mud? ???
