Not sure the overall support you are going to have but some of those strips of wood look a little thin for the weight and torque of a 25 inch monitor.   This is just a gut feeling from the pictures viewed.

that's what I was thinking, what is the conventional way to mount these sorts of monitors?

Run a 2x4 or strip of plywood from underneath the v-shaped pieces you made to the base of the cabinet.  They will act like columns and distribute the load.  I think that will work.

That looks kinda weak. I built a shelf... 1/2" ply with the bottom boxed using wood the size of your mounts. I built that to hold the weight and the top mount is just a small piece for position similar to what you're using.
The whole chassis rests on the shelf.

I was in a hurry to get it done the other day, so I didn't take pics as I was going, sorry.

That looks kinda weak.

Yup.  That green tape will never hold.

Shelf.  Gotta be the easiest way to go, as long as the monitor will work with it.

shelf is in the works for the weekend, then prime and paint the rest of it.  It will probably be made out of 3/4" plywood, is that good enough?

A 3/4 inch plywood shelf should be fine as long as it has good support along the sides.

on my cabinet i use 3/4" plywood and for the braces i used anel iron to hold the shelf then screwed the wood to the metal. it works great. or find yourself an old cabinet and look how they did it.
