Title: xxxx in 1 help
Post by: huskyowner1980 on March 29, 2009, 08:42:59 pm
I bought a 1069 couple of weeks ago and I am having an issue.  If anyone has some experience please help me out.

I have connected the 1069-1 and have it up and running. 1st and 2nd player are working with no problem, trackball is also working.

I have all the buttons connected and grounded. I have attached the 3p/4p board and am able to control the options by switching sw2 on and pressing the appropriate buttons.

Now the issues: When I attach the 3p/4p jamma harness for the buttons nothing happens. I have tried to switch SW2 (#4) on or off, but nothing. I thought to myself maybe the harness was connected backwards so I switched it around (the pastic piece), when I did that the only thing that happens is that when I push the player button (to start game) the video is changed (the color will be more blue or green with pushing the 3/4 player's start -- this is the brown wire). I first thought that it may have been a grounding issue so I connected the ground to the power supply, did not work. I then thought that may be the 3p/4p pcb board was fried, but I am able to control the 1069-1 unit options, also the whole video distortion when pressing player start. I did change the mode of the 1069 so that was not the problem.

I can not for the life of me figure out why the 3/4 player will not work. If anyone can help me I will be forever indebted to you.

On a side note, this is my first post, and really enjoy the site.  Thank you everyone for the hours of entertainment that I have spent researching for my arcade project.

I as well bought a 1069 in 1 and am having the same problems non of the buttons are working, as far as I know the the jamma connecter has player one and two 4 buttons and the other buttons must be wired in manually, it might be that the buttons have a bad ground.
