Title: 4-Plr Coin Door Advice?
Post by: ids on March 29, 2009, 05:52:19 pm
Want to add a 4-plr coin door.   For those with real coin doors - please help.

Happs: http://www.happcontrols.com/coindoors/40094600.htm
and http://www.happcontrols.com/coindoors/40000800.htm (4-entry version)

are the same price, but....???  Apart from obvious differences in the pictures....any advice?

Thanks

The former has two doors (w/ locks) in the single frame, the latter has just the single door.

From the pictures, I can see the two locked doors vs one.

I was wondering if anyone had experience with these, and could provide advice beyond that.

For example:
a) are there differences beyond what is shown?
b) is one preferable for some reason
c) pro's/cons

It also seems odd that you get an extra locked door, but no change in price.

thanks

Beyond the obvious size differences (they take different sized openings)  I would say that the two door model was designed so that someone could collect money without gaining access to the coin mechs.  And that the technician could only access the coin mechs and not the money.

Pro/con:  In a mame cabinet, it probably doesn't matter much.  I will use the smaller one as that is the opening size I have in my mameroom cabinet.
