I have a mint condition Killer Instinct 2 PCB including hard drive and heavy-duty cooling fan for sale. All equipment works perfectly and are mounted on the original particle board shelf. I'll even throw in the original marquee for free as well. Anyone interested can offer me a price, and we'll negotiate. ;)
But make it quick, because I intend to drop this on E-bay within a week or so... I just want to give all you arcade nuts first crack at it!
And yes, I converted the original KI2 machine into a Mame cabinet, which is why I'm selling the "guts". I feel bad about doing it now, and will never "mutilate" such a beautiful arcade cabinet again, but it's too late to cry about it... the machine was sold a long time ago. :'(

Shame on you! :P
Oh well... How much do you want for the board and drive? I have a machine to put them in. What about the marquee?
-
Well, there's a guy selling the exact same thing (minus the marquee) on E-bay right now with a Buy Now price of $499.99, and an arcade shop nearby just sold a working KI2 machine for $1200.00, so these machines are still worth quite a bit...
But I'll take $275 for everything, and because I'm such a great guy I'll even cover the shipping. 8)
E-mail me at StLouisRod@ureach.com if you're serious.

*choke cough* Good lord that's a lot of money!
I know a guy down the street who will gimme the board, the marquee, AND the drive for $150 (about what it's REALLY worth). Plus I haven't seen that stuff go on Ebay for more than that in a long time. I may have missed a particular auction, but the ones I've seen go for $100-$150. If you're looking for that much money for it, you're gonna be looking for a while.
P.S. Whoever paid $1200 for that thing really did get ripped off. The machine isn't worth more than $800 on a really good day, but no one should expect to get more than about $650 or $700 for it. Even that may be pushing it.
P.P.S. I see alot of people on Ebay selling KI2 stuff for super expensive right now, but I also don't see anybody buying it. I hate to break it to you, but you're not sitting on a gold mine.
-
By the way, If someone wants to buy my KI2 arcade machine I'll part with it for $1000. If you want the KI1 board, drive, AND marquee I'll throw them in for an additional $400. ;)
-
If you know a guy down the street who will sell it to you for that price... go buy it, rather than drawing a guy out into giving a price on a public forum then slamming his price repeatedly. God.

Sorry... It's been a rough day...

Thanks, IIOIOOIOO! I couldn't have said it better m'self! ;D

Sorry... It's been a rough day...
I would be inclined to believe you had a rough day because this was your only really off-center post you have ever made...
I hope there won't be any hard feelings over slip-ups like these... we all make them...

I just found out today that I'm $2000 in debt, and I don't make enough money to begin to pay it off. On top of that, my MAME machine is in the middle of an upgrade so it's completely unplayable and that makes it a $500 money pit.
-
Only $2000.00 in debt??!?! Boo Hoo! The average American owes something like $15000 on credit cards, and who knows HOW much on houses, cars, education, etc.
The last time I was less than that much in debt was when I was 15 years old... before I bought my first car! Ahhh... the glory days. 17 years later and I finally got my college loan payed off (took 10 years!), and my car paid off, but I still owe plenty on my house... and of course a few parasitic credit cards. Of course, I want a new car, so here we go again!!! ::)
But at least MY Mame cabinet works... heh, heh :P

how much for just the disk drive?
-
How about a straight-up trade? Your KI2 set for my KI1 set. Mine is perfect but I have a KI2 machine so it would be worth more with the KI2 board set.
-
No "interesting trades considered". I prefer cash ;)
Even if I did want to trade, KI2 is a much better game than KI1 (and thus more popular and worth more), so it wouldn't be an even exchange. Toss in $75.00 and we can talk turkey.
-
As a matter of personsal preference I've always likes KI1 more... Considering there seem to be hard drive issues with the older KI machines it's not as easy to find a working boardset anymore. That makes them worth something.
-
IM interested in a ki2pcd w/ hard drive lemme know how much ur new price is(I emailed you already)
-
*sigh* This thread makes me wish I had picked up a KI2 from Namco Cybertainment when they were on sale for $100 :/
-
The whole thing? I would have paid $100 for a broken machine just to check out Orchid on the sideart! *growls*
-
No, not the whole thing :P.. it might not have even had a HDD, but you can just buy your own and make one nowadays (fairly recent development, too, I think).
I would rather have an MK2 or UMK3 board, myself..

My brother has both of those boards, and I think he's selling them if somebody is interested. DOn't know how much he wants, though. I could ask him if anybody shows an interest.

Where are you located? You think they any such something going on anymore?
-
Nah.. sadly, that sale ended a while back. Too bad, as they also had AvsP and D&D CPS2 boards for $50/ea.. d'oh! :P
I think I will wait on those boards.. but if the price is good I might want. Post again here if you find out how much.
BTW, I got pics of that cab from a while back.. did you want to see 'em still? Maybe the boards could be used for bartering?

Are you sure I can't interest you in a trade? My KI1 for your KI2? I just saw a complete dedicated KI2 sell on ebay for about $850, but there's a KI1 at almost $1100 (with 44 bids) with 2 more days left on it. It doesn't even have the original t-molding on it. (It has silver and original is black.)

As you can see, the KI1 really is worth more. I just need the KI2 to complete a dedicated machine I have.
P.S. This offer stands for anybody that might have a KI2 board/drive/marquee that would care to trade for the KI1 version of the board/drive/marquee.
