I agree. It's amazing how one of the worst quality Dutch products gets to be a world-wide famous brand. I guess it's the McDonalds effect or something.......
Not that Bavaria is that much better. I loved that spoof commercial by Bavaria. I first thought it was a follow up by Heineken itself.  :laugh2:

Belgian beers all the way for me. Our fellow collector Luc from Belgium (owner of www.gameroom.be) has launched his own brewed beer: Zonderik.

I know, I'm more for Leffe Blond, but I have to say, Bavaria never falls wrong. I mean, Heineken or Amstel can really give you a headache, but Bavaria is always good party bear. Start with some special ones, and once you don't taste the specialness of those Belgian beers any more you can continue with Bavaria's into the late night without much trouble.

Fun thing is I never saw the Heineken commercial. I thought it was a lame rip-off of the Bavaria one, but the Bavaria is a spoof on the Heini I guess.

I almost never have any headaches after drinking but I agree, Bavaria is way better than the Heineken brands. Dommelsch is another Dutch brand I like. No Grolsch for me though...

Poor Heineken, profits fell from 800 million euro to 200 million euro last year.....

Leffe is one of my favorites, I also like Chouffe and Ciney a lot.
