Title: trying to get gamepad/joystick to control Player2....help

So here's the deal.....

I'm building a cocktail cab at the moment....well actually just a mock-up at the this point in time    http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=87362.0

Now my young son likes playing a lot of newer vertical shooters and likes me to join in.....unfortunately i'm on the other side playing upside down just to keep him happy.

So i figured i'd use an old USB gamepad that i have and use so i can play right side up and sit next to him,  the only problem is i can't get it to control Player 2, it controls Player 1 by default. I have had a good search but can't find any option for enabling a joystick for Player 2 only.

...any help is appreciated :cheers:

In controll panel... Can windows see game pad?
if so
are you using Mame 32?
if so
options
Default Options
Controllers
Enable joystick input

Start any game
hit "TAB"
Input (general)
set game pad as player 2


all the options
up
down
left
right
button1
etc, etc, etc.
