Hi Guys
I purchased 2 of these sticks I heard Sanwa is good. I got the GT-Y Octagonal Restrictor Plate also.
But for the life of me cannot get the swtichs to work once'I've screwed it in. It's like the metal bar bit need's to go up so that the switchs will click and buttons will work.
Can anyone give me some advise?
Thanks very much
Josh

According to LizardLick.com, the octagonal plate is for the JLF only. Could that be the problem?

This is possible. it's like the shaft is too long and does not connect with the microswitchs.
When i pull up on the shaft and move the shaft it connects np with the micro's.
The guy I purchase it from said it work fine. fine ---my bottom--- :P

Thats correct, the Sanwa octagonal is not for the UM-8.
Our octagonal for this stick was tooled-up and produced by us as Sanwa dont produce one.

Well there you go. Thanks for clearing that up, Andy.

I'm pretty disappointed in these joysticks.
What's the best one for Street fighter 2 Alpha, I feel like I'm battling the controller with the current one.
Cheers

I just got mine hooked up and I like em'
I have the 8 way (Square) restrictor installed for SFIV and I think they work great, I did put a stiffer spring in though

I like using Happ competition joysticks. They feel better than the Ultimate joysticks and the ultimate is what is used in most amercian arcade fighting cabs.
