Title: Mounting an I-pac

I just build my control panel, and I was going to mount the I-pac to the underside so the wiring dosent have to hang down and is close to the board, the problem is the holes in the I-pac's corner are so small I cannot get any machine screws through it!

My control panel is 1/4inch hardboard so I cannot nail too far into it or it'll stick out,  

any ideas?

If you have access to nylon standoffs that are used to mount motherboards in older P1 style pc's these will snap right into those holes. Then you can epoxy the other end of the standoff to your C-panel. This should hold the I-PAC above the surface of the wood and provide some air flow around the PCB.

I had the same problem I took drill bits without the drill and worked them through the hole till it was a little bigger. It worked and it's now mounted.

I just used #6 or #4 wood screws with nylon spacers.  One in each corner.

Some hot glue and the nylon spacers work just fine too if you can't find the right size screws around the house and don't want to go to the store again.

If you were trying to use machine screws, Radio Shack should have some 4-40 screws that should work, otherwise, any of the options above or double-sided foam tape like they use to hang mirrors is another option.

I just mounted mine using 3/4 inch #4 screws and aluminum spacers that I got at Ace Hardware.  #6 screws are just a bit too large.
