Post by: mayhem on March 19, 2009, 12:41:38 pm

Nice guides, I am sure they will be of great use in helping people visualize how the I-Pacs etc connect.      How about the mini pac it seems to be very hazy unless you buy the harness.

Yeh i can do one of them as well... But i have to be real honest its much easer to use a harness. The best way ive seen and used a while back for them is to use a IDE Cable wired up ...

Would some thing like this though is not easy to map out visually.

I think that is one of the big fuzzy areas on the minipac.   I have a mini but have not used it yet.  I did not get a harness.

if everyone could draw diagrams like this it would make things a hel of a lot easier to troubleshoot.

If you could take this and apply it to automotive electrical systems, It would take hours and hours away from my troubleshooting that i almost always get stuck with because when i finally do find a decent diagram, its still ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---.

everybody likes to make diagram books. When im trying to track something, i need diagram Blueprints with everything on one page.

My experience level:  Novice,  low experience with electrical wiring,  have assembled 1 control panel using IPac and GP-Wiz.

I find this very usefull,  clear and easy for me to understand.  At my level of experience,  this is just what I need to successfully install any one of these with a minimum of hassal.  I feel it is an invaluable resource to someone at my experience level.

Question:  Any chance you're considering doing one for the LEDWiz and/or RGBdrive?

Thanks for the excellent, clear guides. :notworthy:

Any chance the information can be compiled into a PDF document for an easy download, and reference?

Just a thought.

True.  Most of the boards including the I-Pac, Mini-Pac, and Opti-Pac have changed quite a bit since the OP 8+ years ago.

I just wanted to make sure that the images and pinouts of the old boards were easily available for everyone.
