can anyone recommend a monitor for spy hunter , I want to replace with brand new . wells gardner claim's the d9500 will work . I was wondering if anyone has been able to uses this monitor in that cab?
-
As far as I know, the D9500 will not work. I wouldn't be suprised if all LCDs and Digital Monitors don't work with MCR games like Spy Hunter.
Sorry, I don't know of a good replacement as I don't have a Spy Hunter.

I know for a fact a 4600 and 4900 will work... I have a 4900 in my Tron, which is MCR. And my friend has a 4600 in his SpyHunter.
If I had to make a recommendation... I'd go with a 4600. Parts are easier to find and they seem to behave a little better.

Well, with MCRs there is NO guarantee that anything will or won't work. If you want to find a long list of horror stories, google "MCR sync issue" or "Spy Hunter sync problem" and you'll see countless instances of people struggling to get their monitors to sync after a replacement, myself included.
Still, if someone has reported success, I'd favor those first when choosing a monitor. Those MCR cabs are crazy fickle.

4900 in my cockpit spy hunter and upright disk of tron

I'm still trying to find a way to get my cockpit Spy Hunter to be compatible with the LCD I installed in it, yes I installed it before realizing that it would not work, and now there's no turning back for me. There has to be a device to standardize or at least make similar to other arcades that fickle signal for use on an LCD?
