Title: How do you know which Pin Roms are the most recent?
Post by: Charles4400 on March 14, 2009, 03:10:58 pm
How do you know if you have the most recent roms?

on ipdb.org it lists many roms for a particular pin but no dates.
example:
352 KB  ZIP  Game ROM L-7 [Williams Electronic Games]
512 KB  BIN  Game ROM LG-7 [Williams Electronic Games]
512 KB  BIN  Game ROM LX-1 [Williams Electronic Games]
512 KB  BIN  Game ROM LX-2 [Williams Electronic Games]

Is the most recent one at the top of the list or bottom or do the letters have a meaning I am just unaware of?

Thanks!

You know thats a good point you bring up.

The higher number is the most recent for DE games but with WMS that isnt the case.

My advice is enter your pinball machine on ebay & look at which rom sets are selling.

No one takes the time to sell outdated rom chips, know what I mean?

Hope that helps
