I need the r609, 180 ohm 20 watt resistor on a Sanyo 20 ezv. Any one know where I can get one ?
Thanks

a bit higher in wattage ...

Just an FYI ... you want the same Ohm rating, but the wattage can be higher just NOT lower.
(which is why the one qrz pointed would work)
My concern would be "why" is that resistor bad.
From my experience it's been due to a bad flyback.
So you may want to double check everything else and if you put the new resistor in and it burns up...... you got problems.

Thanks Kevin,
Yep I agree , I pretty sure a new flyback is my answer.

what was the status of the hot ??
the max current allowed on that 20 watt res is 333ma (60v)
(25w would be 376ma @ 67.68v max )
while testing , i'd suggest putting a 300ma fuse in series with the res. or just keep pwr ups BRIEF.
the reg xistor 'should ' be passing the majority of current.
if it is not, there is a problem in reg drive.
fyi, one can use a neon bulb (ne-2) to detect flyback activity.
the bulb will fire with a field strength of about 90v ac.

I put in a new HOT, so It is not the problem, I will try your tube idea to test the FB
Thanks

just remember the neon bulb will only indicate the presence of an (90v +) electric field.
it will NOT indicate wether the fly's waveform is good/bad , or indifferent......
a " trick" to test the regulator,
is to disconnect the fly/hot ( or just pull the driver xistor/res) , and substitute a 100w incandesant lamp from B+ to ground.
