Title: Mortal kombat 2 Jamma problems
Post by: joshwaan on March 13, 2009, 06:58:33 am
Hi Guys

Having a few issues with my MK2 board. the game works fine without the sound board. I have -5V coming from my PSU also if wondering.

I have 12V 3AMP,+5 14AMP,one GND connected do I need 2? and -5V.

It's really upseting me.

I have the IDE and power connetor going from the sound board to the main board also.

Don't think it's a PSU issue I tried 2 other same problem.

Cheers

JOsh

I'm not sure what your asking for but i have worked on tons of mk2's so what happens when you plug in the sound card ?

Hi

I plug in my Petercho PSU 12+V 3A 5+V 15A -5V 1A Gnd plug. got the sound board plugged in but no light comes on the sound board. game diplays stay black

Diff PSU is this one http://www.in2amusements.com.au/shop/index.php/8/115_Arcade_Power_Supply

It powers the sound board and weird noise start, game boots all roms check out ok.

Can you suggest anything.

You need -5V for sound.   See this thread.

that power supply is what you need, are you plugging in BOTH cables coming from the sound card going to the main PCB ? in not this is what it looks like make sure the red stripe is pointing out from the inside of the board, if this is not working then yes a -5 power issue on your main jamma harness, which is a pain in the ass to diagnose.
