Okay DK skinners,
I've seen some incredible work on DK skins...so I thought I would give it a go myself...
I've actually got a few questions for the skinners out there regarding the overlay and borders and whatnot...but in the mean time, here's a peek.
Let me know what you guys think...be nice..it's my first time ;D

I see what you are trying to do with the graphics and boxes - but when it comes down to it, the skin should be as readable as possible and optimize the available real estate. I think that there is a bit too much wasted space. Though it's a novel idea, and it is certainly original from what I've seen.

When I got done with it I realized that a few of the boxes were a little smaller than I actually wanted them to be, but you gotta give me a little credit considering that I've never played with photoshop or the skinner before I did this skin :-\...I borrowed a "classroom in a book: Adobe Photoshop" from a friend of mine and went to town. It's kinda still a wip, but when I got it done initially I was so thrilled that I could actually pull something like that off I posted it (it was 4 AM where I live) which is why the discription is kinda blah in my first post. ;D
I'm problably going to resize the List box, add the Namco font for the lists from oscar's website and make the sshot box and marquee box a little bigger.
*edit
Mods, by chance would you move this to the Artwork Forum? I just realized I posted this in the wrong spot...sorry

Looks good to me :)

I agree that there is entirely too much white space....
My suggestion is to use the list area you have defined as the flyer area and make the list area overlay over the entire screen. Then you'll have an interactive background of sorts.

Also if you want the maze to look really cool, select just the mazes walls with the magic wand in photoshop and create a layer from it. Now in the layer settings apply a bevel or any other effects you like for a real slick "3d" look.
