Title: iPac4 Shift mode
Post by: Hitek on March 11, 2009, 05:33:53 pm
I tried asking this on the ultimarc forums and got no responses, so I'll try it here.
I have an iPac4 and was wondering if the shift mode triggered any of the LED's on the LED header. The online info is rather vague, and only describes what the shifted keys are, it doesn't explain if it triggers any of the LED's or even if it's a toggle or momentary shift. (I certainly hope it's a toggle)

Thanks

It doesn't trigger any LEDs (those are triggered by the keyboard LEDs like numlock, capslock).  It's a toggle in the sense that you are in 'shift mode' as long as you hold down the shift key.

thanks for the info. Sucks that it's a momentary and not a toggle.

Not sure why this sucks. It would be very confusing if it were a toggle, for example to insert a coin you would need to press a button (start1) enable shift, press the P1SW1 button then press Start1 again to disable shift.

You could connect a toggle switch to the shift though, if you need this functionality.
