hey guys...i need some help. my 2 year old is taking an interest in my mame cabinet, which is cool (since it is named after him). however he seems to be obsessed with animals....everytime we sit down to play together, he wants a game with horses. I can sometimes get him to be oK with playing TMNT..but he eventually keeps saying "horsies" until i play a game with a horse in it. here in lies the problem...i just dont know of that many arcade games that have horses in them in regular intervals. so lately we have been playing Sunset Riders....alot. it is a great game..but i have finished it 4 times this week alone, so i need some variety. do you guys know of any games in mame that have alot of horses in them...that are fun to play? i found some horse racing game, but it sucked horribly.
thanks..

I was going to say the horse racing games...but then I read your last line....Ive been sorting my roms...and really I havent came across any "Horse related " games...
My daughter is 2 also and she is doing the same thing....over dragons....The cute ones....
So I have been playing Bubble Bobble till I am sick....Then I SLOWLY introduced her to Bucky O Hare...
Just be gentle with him or her...if she doesnt like what she sees...he/she will walk away and then she will get bored and come back...and then she will be hooked on Raiden, or Pac-Man...or Mario...etc...your choice...
But mostly my daughter just likes to sit in daddy's lap and tear up the joystick and trackball....

Not horses, but "Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa" might work for him. Fun little game and it's the same side scrolling beat em up style as Sunset Riders.

Another one is "Express Raider", but it's not really a kiddie game and I think you have to get to the 2nd level to ride the horse.

yeah...i tried wild west COW boys..but he just wasn't into it that much.

I just searched klov.com with "horse" (be sure to check "search game descriptions") and got a long list, several of which seem to have enough equestrian content to keep your little jockey interested. Good luck,
Eric.

maybe pop in a n64 emulator and play some zelda with him. You can ride on the back of a horse. Oblivion also lets you ride a horse.
