KI2: Is in nice shape, it has a faulty disk drive but everything else tests fine. So all it needs is DD ($100)
SF ALPHA 2: Is in nice shape, plays good, needs a new 1st player joystick (few bucks)
I was thinking $850 for both or $500 for KI2 or $400 for Street Fighter ALPHA 2
I MAY consider partial trade for a classic arcade. For example if you had a good working mario bros. i would take maybe $300 off of $850. But i must get a classic plus atleast $400. Depends what you got.
Games are located near Toledo Ohio.
Email is MDGRIESE@AOL.COM I can send pics to serious inquirees only please=)

Good luck. Ebay prices suggest that the Street Fighter 2 Alpha is worth maybe $250 and that the Killer Instinct 2 is worth the $500 only if it is dedicated and fully working.
-
Thanks for telling me. Do you think $650 is more reasonable for both?
-
Depends on condition. But truthfully, you will have a much easier time selling those games if you make the needed repairs now, and then list them in the local newspaper.
You could get those prices local if they were fully working (local buyers often are willing to spend more because they don't price compare, and the emotional issues of once you go look at a game, you want to come home with it, even if the seller won't come down in price).
I almost always sell my unwanted games in the local paper. You generally get the best prices that way. Some of my friends sometimes sell their games at the auctions.
But!
Never take a fighting game to the live auctions though, it is too much of a crapshoot. If there happens to be a closed arcade unloading their equipment, then there will be a glut of newer fighting games, and they will likely make your game sell for monitor value (IE, about what the monitor is worth).

$650 for both is VERY reasonable..I would pay like $500 for the alpha alone but I live no where near you and mame plays it perfect anyways(now..yeah finally).
But I actually thought about buying the game like a year ago..almost bought for $1000. :o

The one hard thing about putting a hard price on a game like SFA2 is that it could be in anything from a beat down old Pengo cabinet to a Newer Atari 33" Showcase cabinet. One of those would be an $800 game, while the other would be like $175.

mine sort of looks like thishttp://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=S&game_id=9804
Im sort of confused as to what to sell them for. What do you think my price should be for both?
-
Well, you will probably be hard pressed to find a single buyer who would want both titles at the same time. Most people in the real arcade collecting scene consider fighting games to be garbage, and thus the older buyers (the guys with the money) are largely uninterested, leaving you with the younger buyers who don't have nearly as much money.

For what it's worth, I have a KI2 machine with a working KI1 board in it for sale in the Dallas area. It's for pick up only, though.
You can buy it with or without the game board in case you want to MAME it. Personally, I think it's a beautiful machine and so that's why I didn't MAME it, but if someone else does I could use the money. The cabinet is a Midway 25". I think they're made by Hanaho. They really are the perfect MAME machine, but I didn't have the heart to do it.
If anybody is interested drop me a line or post here.
P.S. I think my brother is offering up a Mortal Kombat 3 board in a Mortal Kombat 1 original cabinet in VERY good condition. (In fact, he has game boards for MK1 MK2, and MK3.) Don't know his prices, though.

yea but have to remember fighters make money... as long as better fighters aren't around...
so say a movie theater or laundry place could make some major cheddar on those...

Oh I left my KI machine in my frat house for the other guys to play and it was making $60/mo of just casual use. My brother's wasn't there as long and it probably made $40.
