Ugh, I'm just soo frustrated anymore with this cabinet I've been building. :hissy: Every little thing has been an issue since the beginning! :soapbox:...Just bought a NEW Sansui DTV2760, 27 inch CRT and have in mounted at a slight angle in the cabinet (still in the tv case). Hooked it up to the pc and not only do I find that I have color blotches (need to degauss) I also see that the picture is crooked! Yup, the left side is maybe a 1/2 inch higher than the right side of the picture. I dont know what to do. Would degaussing solve this issue? If I can somehow get into the service mode of the TV could I somehow rotate the image to fix it? Any help, please? ???

if you have colour issues as well as a twisted picture then i would suggest the deflection yoke has moved out of its home position

Or his build is flakey and the TV is cockeyed...

I figured out that the TV is fine. Hooked it up to a dvd player via S-Video and the picture is level and straight, soo...It must be the computer displaying the picture incorrectly to the TV. I dont know why because I also have a PC monitor hooked up to it and its fine. Im so confused whats going on. The PC is running Windows XP all updated with a GeForce TI 4600. I updated all the drivers for the card with no luck fixing this issue. And no, my building skills are not the issue... ::)

I wonder if it is the input. Did you try feeding different things to different inputs? Ive had service mode issues on crappy tvs (Toshibas mainly) where for some stupid reasons the eeproms reset themselves to "factory defaults". When that happens your set is pretty bad untill you go through the service mode with a fine tooth comb, or the worst case scenario is a new eeprom. This could be that, or your right and you messed up with your cabling, but a crooked picture is a weird issue to have. Glad to hear that you figured it out without too much trouble though:-)
