We just picked up an English Mark Darts Super 6 dart board. The problem we noticed is that everything goes OK if the front cover that surrounds the monitor is open. Once we close it everything freezes. At one point we put foam strips along the top cover and that seemed to work but now that won't even cut it. Any suggestions.
By the way, is there any way to set this up for free play. I get the impression the answer is no but just double checking.
Thanks

Most coin-op machines have a free play switch or credit button inside them so it is likely to have one. Alternatively, take wires off the coin mech and add a push button yourself to rack up credits.
If the machine freezes when the door is closed, there is probably some kind of cut-off switch that 'pauses the game' to preserve your credits or just power, a bit like the light switch inside your fridge. Try to find this switch inside the door frame and remove it.

Game freezing up is almost always caused by the power supply board in the machine.
This machine was never designed for free play. If you want free play, you'll have to wire in a momentary pushbutton switch across one of the coin switches.
